Life Cycles and Insects - 2 Weeks of Pictures and Videos!

We have been busy in kindergarten lately! We learned about life cycles of different animals. We talked about frogs, chicks, sea turtles, and lady bugs.

After we learned about these life cycles, we started talking about insects. We have learned about ants, bees, fireflies, grasshoppers, dragonflies, and butterflies. We have caterpillars growing in our room right now that should go into their chrysalis soon! We painted dragonflies after we learned about them.

We read The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle and worked on sequencing and retelling a story.

We did a retelling whole group, then the tables had to work together the sequence the story with pictures the next day.

On Wednesday, we took our writing time outside. We wrote about butterflies in the front yard of the school! They were amazing!

I wanted to share with you what I hear while they're writing because it is so perfect!
The last thing I have to share with you is from Music Class. They learned a traditional folk dance.
