The Last Weekly Update

Bags are packed, chairs are stacked, and your little sweeties are all yours for the summer! It has truly been a fantastic year with this group of kids. I have enjoyed watching them grow and seeing their personalities blossom.

Our last week of school was filled with fun. Tuesday we had Field Day. Mrs. Karg and the parent volunteers did a fantastic job!

On Wednesday, we had awards day. Thank you to all of you who were able to make it! We also used our water colors one last time, and practiced painting some of our sight words.

Wednesday afternoon, we played some Minute to Win It games! They had so much fun. They had to blow a fish across the room with a paper plate, blow a cup off the table with a straw, pick up a piece of penne on a speghetti stick, and get a vanilla wafer from their forehead to their mouths without using their hands. I showed them how to do each one...we got some interesting pictures of that!

Thursday, we cleaned our tables with shaving cream. Of course, we practiced some sight words with it too! It's been so warm in our room, that we have been leaving the lights off a lot, so that explains the dark pictures!

It has truly been my joy to teach your children this year! Have a great summer, and I look forward to seeing them in the building next year as first graders!
