Weekly Wrap Up

We spent this week learning about The Three Little Pigs. We read a lot of different versions this week, including: The Three Little Fish and the Big Bad Shark, The Three Little Wolves and the Big Bad Pig, The Three Little Gators, and The True Story of the Three Little Pigs.

We learned a poem about the big bad wolf, we did crafts for the pig, wolf, and the three houses, and we did a readers theater. A readers theater is a play that the students practice to help read smoothly.

Our butterflies came out of their chrysalises last weekend. The students observed them during science center.

On Friday, we let the butterflies go so they could enjoy the world, instead of just a butterfly house.

The Recycling Center came this week and talked to our class about different things we can recycle. We sorted by different types of items.

One of our kindergarten math standards says that students need to create shapes out of components. This week, we made shapes using pretzels and marshmallows.

This week, we will be studying ocean animals.
