Weekly Wrap Up

We had a great week - it was so nice to be back into some sort of routine!

We started off the week studying dental health. We did a simple experiment with eggs that we soaked in coke and coffee. They had a blast.

We then started learning about the sky. We talked about objects we see in the sky in the day and night. We drew a picture of an example of each.

We learned about the sun and did some informative writing. We also painted suns.

Today we learned about the moon. We learned that sometimes we see the moon during the morning or evening, as well as at night.

We used a venn diagram to talk about when we see objects.

We will finish our sky unit next week with stars. Next, we are going to learn about sound.

In Math, we wrapped up our study on subtraction. We are not done with addition and subtraction, as it is a major focus in kindergarten. We will be doing a lot of review and practice activities. Subtraction tests came home today and grades should be on the parent portal.

Next in math, we are decomposing teen numbers. We worked on showing a group of ten and some more for numbers 11-15 today. 12 is a group of 10 and 2 more.

Blizzard Bags: In order to make up for time lost in the classroom due to calamity days, if we cancel again, we will be using blizzard bags. The assignments have been placed in the back of your folder, but you do not need to complete these assignments until Mr. Eaglowski tells you to. You can find additional information here. Please contact me with any questions.

Have a great weekend!
