Weekly Wrap Up

With the way our break fell, our two short weeks felt like one full week!

The Wednesday before break, the PTO put on an Easter Egg hunt for all the kiddos at East! Thanks to all who sent candy, each child was able to find 2 eggs filled with candy, and one student found the special prize!

Tim Bowers, an illustrator, is coming to East on Wednesday this week. We have been reading a lot of books he has illustrated, and did some buddy reading with 4th grade! They read us a book, and we read a simple book to them we've been working on. You can visit his website here. There will be a family night with Tim Bowers at the Upper Sandusky Community Library on Thursday, April 7 at 6 PM.

We have been learning about oviparous animals - the kids in our class can tell you that oviparous animals come from eggs. We made a page each day about an animal that is oviparous, and then wrote about one animal that comes from eggs. We also did a sort.
This week, we will be taking our i-ready tests on the computer. Due to the computers being used later this spring for state testing in the higher grades, we give our end of the year assessment on i-ready now. I'm hopeful that the kids will take their time and really show what they've learned so far!

Have a great weekend!
:) Miss McPheron
