Weekly Wrap Up

We spent the first week of May learning about Mexico for Cinco de Mayo. The kids really enjoyed listening to mariachi music while they worked. We learned a little bit about Mexican culture, some words, and even made a Mexican flag. It was nice to talk about traditions other people in the world have.

We learned to tell time to the hour this week - the kids picked it up really quickly! Tests grades are on the online portal. We did some practice by playing "Scoot" - where the kids move to different spots to practice digital and analog time.

On Friday, we were able to walk to Stepping Stones Park with second grade. It was a perfect day for a walk! We are finishing up the artwork we drew for the Wyandot County Courthouse Art Contest on Monday, then I will send home the contact slip with it if you want me to submit it in the contest.

There have been a ton of papers that have come home recently about the end of the year - I will do my best to keep you informed with everything we have going. Please don't hesitate to ask if you have questions! It's been a great school year and we have a great last few weeks planned here at East.
