Weekly Wrap Up

It has been such a long time since I've updated you on our classroom!
We have been working hard in our classroom this month, and we have a new addition, Miss Perdue! She is a student teacher from OSU Marion who is starting to take on the responsibilities of teaching. The kids are doing a great job helping her become a great teacher.
We worked on three dimensional shapes. Students got to explore and also determine if they would stack, roll, and slide.  We took a test last week that should be on your parent portal, and I also sent home the tests last week.

We learned about Martin Luther King Jr. and treating all people with kindness. We did our best to draw Martin Luther King Jr.

We started learning about maps last week. Maps represent real places. We have made some maps from some models, and are starting to learn about where we live.

We took our Reading i-Ready diagnostic last week, and will be taking the Math diagnostic this week. I am very proud of the class's growth! I will send home scores when I have both Math and Reading Scores to share with you.

Always feel free to contact me if you have any questions!
Mrs. Steinman
